SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – The man accused of killing five people in an Inman home Sunday night was arrested early Monday morning in Georgia.
Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said James Douglas Drayton was arrested Monday in Burke County, Georgia and confessed to the murders.
A car that was stolen from one of the victims was also recovered in Georgia. This comes after deputies responded to a home on Bobo Drive around 7:45 p.m. Sunday and found four dead.
A fifth person was taken to the hospital and later died during surgery.

In 2017, Roof became the first person in the U.S. sentenced to death for a federal hate crime. Authorities have said Roof opened fire during the closing prayer of a Bible study at the church, raining down dozens of bullets on those assembled. He was 21 at the time.

A serial killer already serving life in prison for seven slayings told authorities he has two additional victims buried near an interstate, a sheriff said Tuesday. Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said investigators are bringing Todd Kohlhepp to the county to lead them to the supposed location of the bodies, the Greenville News reported.

"We're trying to get a game plan together to find out exactly where and what to do. Investigators have been talking to him," Wright said. "We're not going to try to keep that quiet. We're going to go search."

One person was killed and five others were wounded in a shooting near a South Carolina nightclub on Memorial Day, authorities said. No arrests have been made in Monday night's shooting in the Hollywood area of Charleston County, the county sheriff's office said Tuesday.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of gunfire and multiple shooting victims near an intersection at about 9:50 p.m., the sheriff's office said in a statement. One person was found inside a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, and five others were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff's office said.

More details have emerged about the suspect in the fatally shooting of a Tennessee surgeon inside an exam room where the doctor worked.
Larry Pickens, 29, was charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault for allegedly shooting and killing Dr. Benjamin Mauck, the Collierville Police Department said in a statement on Wednesday. He was arraigned Thursday morning at the Collierville Municipal Court and is being held on a $1.2 million dollar bond, according to online jail records.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Ten people were injured, and three law enforcement officials were hurt when gunfire erupted at a Memorial Day gathering in Charleston, South Carolina, according to police.
Police said gunfire erupted late Monday night when an officer was responding to a noise complaint about a loud party at a vacant lot. Someone shot twice into an arriving police car, authorities said.
Charleston news outlets showed surveillance video of people scrambling for cover as sporadic gunfire is heard. Reynolds told news outlets more than 100 evidence placards were placed at the scene, with many of those marking where shell casings were found.
Reynolds said four people were critically injured. He said the officer was not shot but injured by shrapnel from the glass and two deputies from the sheriff’s department were injured as they tried to control the crowd.
