Whenever people in these situations claim a 'condition',
it normally translates to 'Addiction'. So you know you're
in for some action.
“I have a condition”
That condition is called extreme stupidity.
It's crazy how the situation escalated rather quickly in less
than 20 seconds. ( so true. many officers would completely
agree a million times over. you have to be on your toes.

I’m guessing his “condition” was the unlawful possession
of a firearm and DUI.
Huge props to these officers for not just mag-dumping the
first time the guy reached for his gun. They could assess
each situation and see he wasn’t a direct threat to them at
that moment so didn’t deserve a wall of lead. When they
fired it was two shots before re-evaluating. Hopefully this
kind of restraint and intelligent threat assessment catches
on.
