By far the most thoughtful report I’ve seen and I’ve watched over 50 different videos on this. I’m a 2000 hour jet prop pilot and I certainly understand all the parameters you described well done very informative.
After take off the landing gear hangs in a "heel down" position. When gear retraction is initiated the wheels are rotated to a toe down position before the gear doors open and the wheels are swung up into their stowage area. Video of the aircraft just before it crashed show the wheels in a toe down position suggesting that retraction had been initiated but was followed by total power outage leaving the wheels in a toe down position but still extended with the doors still closed. ???
