Ga. needs these same Cable Barriers ...




Seven people were killed in a crash Saturday afternoon on I-85 in Franklin County, Georgia, the Georgia State Patrol says.
Investigators said the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. near mile marker 160 when a Ford SUV traveling north crossed through the median and entered the southbound lanes.
When the Ford crossed over, it hit a Chevrolet van in the left lane, causing the Chevrolet to hit a third vehicle that was in the right lane, investigators said.
Several agencies, including GSP, the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Motor Carrier Compliance Division, responded to the scene in Northeast Georgia.

"To keep Vehicles from Hitting Head - on as in This Deadly Crash ..."  

GSP said three people in the Ford were killed and three others were injured.
Investigators said all four people in the Chevrolet died in the crash.
Six people died at the scene, according to the Franklin County coroner. The coroner said a 3-year-old was airlifted to Greenville and died at the hospital. At last check, one child was in critical condition at the hospital and two other children were in stable condition.
No one in the third vehicle was injured.
The Franklin County coroner identified the people killed in the Ford as Chris Years, 33, Ashley Years, 34, and Luna Years, 3, all of Paulding County.
The coroner identified the people killed in the Chevrolet as Alejandro Agis Perez, 53, Noe Gutierrez Cerna, 39, Oswaldo F. Hi Navarrete, 35, and Eugenio Santoyo Serna, 36, all of Hall County. 
GSP said two other vehicles were also involved but suffered minor damage.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the Ford to cross the median.
