The clerk did something here that really turned the tables
on these crooks that you didn't mention. Notice him grabbing
a BIG WAD of cash to supposedly hand to them. At that point,
I believe that the perp was probably just looking at that pile of
cash that he was about to get, and NOT looking at him reaching
for his gun. In other words, this clerk used the most common
trick of a magician... MISDIRECTION. "Look here, not there."
In my opinion, this move gave him the valuable nanoseconds
to even the odds. Remarkable response, really.
I love how the clerk used that stack of bills to pay for the time
he needed to get the gun in the fight. While he was racking his
slide, the perps were thinking about all the ways they were
going to spend that money. Well played, Mr. Clerk. Just keep
a round in the chamber and learn how to properly hold a
firearm to better cover your ASP in the future!
