GREENVILLE, S.C. —
Two brothers were arrested on assault charges Saturday as Greenville police continue to look for someone else in connection with a crime in Greenville. Police said the incident happened early in the morning at the intersection of East Washington Street and South Brown Street.
Police say witnesses told officers that three people brutally beat a person unconscious. It's not clear why the attack happened.
Police say the victim is currently in critical condition.
Officers arrested brothers John Cox and Ronald Cox, III. Both are from Greenville. John Cox, 22, and Ronald Cox, 27, were arrested and charged with assault and battery by mob in the second degree.
Greenville police are still on the hunt for a third person in connection with the assault. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Greenville police.
