LAURENS, S.C. -- A former Laurens County Deputy was arrested by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents.
Raymond E. Franklin, 63, is charged with assault and battery, second Degree.
He was booked Wednesday at the Laurens County Detention Center and later released.
This arrest is a result of an investigation conducted by SLED at the request of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
