I’m born and raised in Oakland my whole 26 years. If you
aren’t from here than you can’t really grasp the chaos. You
can basically break any laws you want. No police will help.
Your car will more than likely be broken into. And you can’t
walk more than a few blocks without running into homeless
crackheads. And it’s so expensive it’s nearly impossible to live
without roommates. It wasn’t always like this. The bay is beautiful
with amazing people however it is not safe here at most times.
Tourist are scouted as soon as they leave the airport.
