Sheriff Deputies had to Arrest a woman in Gray Court on Thursday after she got into an altercation with a News Reporter.
Amanda Lorena Keith, 33, of Laurens, was arrested with her mother and sister last month in an animal cruelty case. She appeared in magistrate’s court on June 13 in Gray Court.
Upon leaving, Keith was approached by a reporter outside. Reports indicate that Keith grabbed the reporter’s camera and pulled it downward.
Keith was placed under arrest for third-degree assault and battery and was transported to the Johnson Detention Center. She was also served with a warrant for violation of the animal/rabies control statute and is awaiting arraignment on both charges.
