The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a trooper was involved in a shooting Sunday night during a traffic stop.

Once the car was stopped, the driver got out of the vehicle and started firing at the trooper, troopers said.

Wise returned fire and both he and the suspect were hit in the exchange of gunfire, investigators said.
Both Wise and the suspect were taken to the hospital with injuries that authorities said were not life-threatening.
Wise was struck by gun fire with a round hitting his bullet-proof vest, troopers said. They said he was released from the hospital Monday morning and is in good spirits and resting at home with his family.
“I am so thankful that his issued body armor stopped the round, saving his life,” said SCDPS Director Leroy Smith. “As I said during last night’s news briefing, law enforcement is a calling, and this is why we refer to these brave men and women—like Trooper Wise—as heroes. Our law enforcement works day and night to ensure the safety and security of us all.”
Wise will be placed on administrative duties once he returns to work, as per department protocol. He has been with the SC Highway Patrol since September 2016.
The suspect was identified by the Department of Public Safety as Willie Bernard Wright, 27, of Gaffney.
The shooting is being investigated by the State Law Enforcement Division.

The Department of Public Safety said Wise is assigned to Highway Patrol Troop Four, York County.

Police Officers find Body with No Head, No Hands in Woods

WILKESBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- Police came upon a horrific scene last Thursday while searching the woods near Mountain View Apartments, according to an incident report.
At about 7:21 p.m., a resident at Mountain View Apartment reported that he saw a tent in the woods near the complex and wanted an officer to take a look.
Two officers went into the woods to look for the tent, heading in from several different areas due to the thick underbush.
When the officers went into the woods from the southeast, near a cellphone tower on Winker Mill Road, they came across a body.
Police report that there was no head or hands.
The body had a green jacket, khaki pants and brown boots on.
GPS coordinates place the body at the woods behind a Lowes Foods of Wilkesboro and Big Lots.
Investigators have not found any gunshot or stab wounds, or defensive wounds on the body, Garris said.
(  more than likely shot in the hand. hence no head. hands removed no
   fingerprints - no id  )
Wilkesboro Police Chief Craig Garris said they have no reason to believe criminal activity was involved in the death.
(  wait, what ?? this has to be a typo. 'no reason to believe criminal activity was
involved in the death.'  reporter had to have miswrote it. or the chief is a
    complete idiot !  )
Police are currently looking to identify the body.

''We have figured out what happened to Heather Elvis": Moorer's Lawyer plans to file Federal Lawsuit. What an Idiot ..

The Whole Headline is Deceiving ... What is wrong with WBTW News 13  ?

COLUMBIA, SC (WBTW) – The lawyer for Sidney and Tammy Moorer says he plans to file a federal lawsuit in June in reference to the investigation surrounding the disappearance of Heather Elvis.
Eric Poston, of Chalmers Poston, LLC in Columbia, released a statement to News13 on Thursday, saying a lawsuit will be filed in federal court against “the involved law enforcement agencies as well specific law enforcement officials.”
Poston also says his firm will sue Facebook, Terry Elvis and “others who were involved in the coordinated harassment of the Moorers that was planned out on the various Facebook pages.”
“This lawsuit is, for better or worse, the Moorer’s first and probably only opportunity to get their story (i.e. the truth) out to the public without any limitations. We have figured out what happened to Heather, and are working hard to close the few remaining gaps in the story. That is the main reason it is taking months to get this lawsuit together,” Poston’s statement also says. “The purpose of it is not simply to hold the wrongdoers accountable and it is certainly not about money; it is to clear the Moorer name and identify the real criminals by way of shining the national spotlight on the incredibly (and we argue intentionally) pathetic police investigation.”
(  where do they find these crazy lawyers at ???? omg ..  )

“We’ve had to do what the police didn’t do. Actually investigate,” Poston adds.

( idiot ) ( what about motive, the videos, the threats by tammy, lying to the
police, last person spoken to was sidney moorer, phone calls to heather
2 am - 3:34 am.  they lured her out into a trap,  ect, ect.  )   Fruitcakes ..

Poston claims in his statement “the last person to see her [Heather Elvis]” was “interviewed for a grand total of 15 minutes and none of his alibis were checked. Nor was his phone thoroughly analyzed. We’ve still figured it out, though.”

“This will be quite an entertaining litigation process from an attorney’s perspective. You’ll see many people crumble under the weight of their own lies after being asked questions they should have been asked 6 years ago. You’ll see the truth blossoming and so will the rest of the country,” Poston’s statement further says. “It’s going to be incredibly humiliating for the police. But I could give less of a damn if it gets two innocent people out of prison and replaces them with the real criminals. If it finally produces justice for Heather. And it will.”

( hope he's heard of a frivolous lawsuit. they can turn around and sue him. )

Sidney Moorer is expected to be in court on June 21.

June 21 is for Pre - Trial Motions Only.
The Trial Should be in Aug. or Sept. we pray.

Louis “Skip” ReVille, who pleaded guilty in 2012 to molesting nearly two dozen boys in the tri-county area over the span of a decade, will Not be permitted to enter into a rehabilitation program for sexually violent predators before his 50-Year Sentence wraps, a judge ruled Wednesday. Good Job Judge Markley Dennis ..

Louis “Skip” ReVille   Sick - O

Louis “Skip” ReVille, who pleaded guilty in 2012 to molesting nearly two dozen boys in the tri-county area over the span of a decade, will Not be permitted to enter into a rehabilitation program for sexually violent predators before his 50-year sentence wraps, a judge ruled Wednesday.  ( Thank you Jesus )
Tom Thompson, an attorney representing ReVille, argued in a Charleston County courtroom for a reduced sentence so that he may enter a specialized mental health treatment facility. South Carolina’s Sexually Violent Predator Act allows for the commitment of “mentally abnormal and extremely dangerous” sex offenders to be “confined to the custody of the S.C. Department of Mental Health, and held in a separate and secure facility for long-term control, care and treatment.”
But ReVille who was not present for Wednesday’s hearing, cannot be admitted to the program while still incarcerated.
Upon treatment, ReVille has said he aspires to start his own rehabilitation program for sex offenders, according to court documents.
Circuit Judge Markley Dennis, who also handed down ReVille’s prison sentence in June 2012, denied Thompson’s motion, adding that he hopes ReVille can receive proper treatment after he serves his sentence.
“I don’t know that, in my career, I’ve seen a more egregious case of criminal sexual conduct,” he said.
ReVille is a former area youth sports coach, teacher, Bible group leader and foster parent with ties to The Citadel, where he also attended school, and Pinewood Preparatory School.
As far back as 2002, ReVille used sports and religion to lure in young boys, prosecutors have said, adding that he targeted busy families and would offer rides to and from activities.
He would invite boys, who were between 10 and 17 years old, to his home where he would coerce them to participate in various sexual games and rituals. He then fondled and performed sex acts on them.
ReVille pleaded guilty in 2012 to molesting 23 boys, but he told a sexual offender treatment expert that his actual victim count was 43.
His crimes date back to 2002, when he began preying upon boys at his alma mater, The Citadel, where he served as a senior counselor at the school’s summer camp. ReVille honed his technique at Pinewood Prep, where he held his first teaching job. He then cycled through nearly a dozen coaching, teaching and church posts throughout the region, picking up new victims along the way.
With his 50-year sentence, which ReVille is required to serve at least 85 percent of, the admitted child sex offender would be at least 74 years old upon release.
“I think, in this case, there is the possibility for rehabilitation,” Thompson said in court. “Fifty years is akin to a life sentence … I don’t know when, if ever, he’d be released.”
None of the individuals who originally accused ReVille were present at the hearing, though 9th Circuit Assistant Solicitor Debbie Herring-Lash read a letter in court on behalf of a parent who was present.
“When you are the parent of a sexually abused child, at times it can be difficult to live hour by hour. Years can never be taken for granted,” the letter read. “Today, I speak not only for my family, but for those families impacted by the evil that is Skip ReVille.”
