CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WMBF) – A judge sentenced a Charlotte man on Thursday for forcing three young girls into prostitution in Myrtle Beach.

Zerrell Fuentes, 24, was ordered to serve 30 years in prison and spend a lifetime under court supervision after he is released.

Court records show that while Zerrell Fuentes was in jail on state charges back in 2016, he devised a plan to force three underage girls into prostitution so that they could pay his bond.

He arranged for his wife, Brianna Wright, and his mother, Tanya Fuentes, to transport the victims from Charlotte to Myrtle Beach for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex acts while they were in Myrtle Beach, documents revealed.

“Zerrell Fuentes, his wife, and his mother ran a depraved family business engaged in the sex trafficking of young girls for profit,” said U.S. Attorney Andrew Murray.

According to court records, Wright and Tanya Fuentes drove the three girls to Myrtle Beach. Investigators said Tanya Fuentes paid for lodging while Wright drove the girls to meet clients.

“The minors’ prostitution services were advertised on Backpage.com in order to solicit prostitution clients in Myrtle Beach,” the court documents state.

At one point, Fuentes reportedly called a female friend from jail and bragged that he had "three little birdies going to the beach to do something for" him.

While in Myrtle Beach, at least two minor victims committed sexual acts, court documents showed.

“Children are not commodities to be advertised and traded for the financial benefit of wicked adults. The protection of helpless and impressionable minors should be an adult’s priority. Anyone who violates the trust of children for their financial gain deserves to spend three decades behind bars, if not longer, where they can no longer destroy young lives,” Murray said.

Wright was sentenced to 10 years in prison for her role in the case, and Tanya Fuentes was ordered to serve 24 months in prison.

Zerrell Fuentes will be transferred to a federal prison. All federal sentences are served without the possibility of parole

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. —

A Buncombe County teacher has been charged with two counts of sex acts with a student, according to Aaron Sarver, with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office.

Keith William Grandy was taken into custody Wednesday after a search warrant was executed at his home, Sarver said.

According to Sarver, Grandy is a teacher at North Buncombe High School.

These criminal acts did not take place on the school campus, Sarver said.

According to Sarver, when school administrators learned of the allegations, the case was immediately turned over to the Sheriff’s Office.

Grandy has been suspended from his teaching duties by Buncombe County Schools since the start of the investigation, Sarver said.

His bond has been set at $65,000.

“Thank you to our team of detectives at the Sheriff’s Office for their investigative work to bring charges against Mr. Grandy. We would also like to thank Buncombe County Schools for their cooperation with this investigation,” said Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller.

They planned it like before. ( Kidnappings ) Just like Uncle Randell Taylor did with Shannon McConaughey. Scope it out. No cameras. Little traffic. They knew the spot to grab her. They tried to take 4 girls. Only one to escape was Randa Massey. Shannon McConaughey was first. Then Crystal Soles. Brittanee Drexel. And again, Randa Massey, who by the Grace of God got away.

When I say 4 girls this isn't counting the ones we don't know about.

Randell Taylor started, that we know of, in 1998. That same year
after kidnapping, beating, raping and killing Shannon McConaughey.
2 Wrote written Confessions to all of this. Eli Johnson and Harry
Rivers. Randell a few months later, beat the living hell out of his
then girlfriend. Beat her so badly they charged him with Assault and
Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature. The good ole Judge James
William Jr. gave him time served, smh !!

The Police are doing there Jobs. Prosecutors and Judges putting lives
in grave danger. If Randell Taylor had been found Guilty of Murder
there's a good chance Brittanee Drexel and Crystal Soles would still
be alive. Prosecutors in Charleston are known for giving harden
criminals 7 - 15 chances.  .. Shameful .. 

You see, The Taylors, had a friend working for the Charleston Co.
Sheriffs Office. He tampered with the evidence. DNA. He was only
fired not charged. Randell and 4 co-defendants walk free to rape
and kill again. Teach there trade craft to the next generation. Jacob
Taylor was one of the 5 suspects too. Another Taylor.

With 2 Written Confessions and a body still should have gotten
a Convictions for Murder. Prosecutors didn't even try. smh. DOJ
should have taken the Case then. They never came ....

Investigators from three counties who have been working to find a missing New York teenager say they now have persons of interest in the case.

Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Neil Johnson said based on information that has been collected investigators feel Brittanee Drexel who was 17 years old when she disappeared from Myrtle Beach last year is no longer alive.

Johnson said investigators have “three and possibly four” persons of interest in the case. He said no other details about the persons of interest is being released at this time.

Johnson said there is no reason to believe the persons of interest knew Drexel directly.

He said lie detector tests have been administered to two of them.

Investigators from Horry and Charleston Counties are also involved in the case because Drexel’s last known whereabouts was at a Myrtle Beach hotel.

Signals from her cell phone were detected in the North Santee area along the Georgetown County - Charleston County border on April 26 of last year, one night after she went missing from Myrtle Beach. Several searches have been conducted in the North Santee area as well as in northern Charleston County for any evidence that may lead to Drexel.

Johnson said the case got hot in December when Georgetown County Investigator Chris Bailey received information about Drexel’s disappearance.

It was in December that searchers found a pair of sunglasses near the river in North Santee.

“Everything we know is leading to this area,” Johnson said. “At this point, based on everything we know, we feel she is not alive.”

Johnson said the evidence continues to point to southern Georgetown County as the place something may have happened to Drexel. He said that is based on the amount of text messages she sent in the days before her disappearance.

“She was constantly on the phone texting. Then it all stopped when she went missing,”he said. “It was like someone took the phone.”

He said a private investigation service from Maine has been hired to help in the case because they have a lot of resources such as cadaver dogs to assist local authorities.

When asked if having persons of interest will lead to charges in the case, Johnson said that is not currently known.

“We could make an arrest next week or next year, we just do not know” he said.

Whoever the person or people are who made the decision to shift the focus of the investigation away from the Taylors and the 4 Persons of Interest and onto Raymond Moody need to be investigated. They’ve known what happened to Brittanee Drexel since 2010 and who was involved for 10 years but somehow the whole thing got misdirected at some point. Was that incompetence or corruption? Or both. I’d be very curious to hear an explanation for that stupid decision. Charleston Co., Georgetown Co. and Horry Co. Sheriff Office had the Information and 
leads needed to make Arrest in 2010.   .. They all were pulled ..  WTH

If they were witnesses why haven't they come forward ?? With all
the News Coverage then and now. IMO .. Those are suspects. 

They simply used a cell phone to call and tell the others when to kidnap
her. When no one else was around. Da'Shaun Taylor did not act
alone - he had plenty of help.
