Horry County, S.C. (WPDE) — The two men charged in the death of Aynor teen Zack Malinowski are set to be in court on June 28 for bond hearings on unrelated cases.
Javon Dion Gibbs, 22, of Conway, is facing multiple charges, including murder, in connection with a shooting off Kimberly Drive near Conway in September 2016.
Gibbs’ attorney Johnny Gardner is asking the court to set a bond for the case.
Gibbs was out on bond for Malinowski’s case when the shooting happened.
Christopher Anfony Brown, 23, of Conway, and his attorney, Barbara Wilson Pratt, are hoping to get a bond reduction for his charge in connection with a shooting in Conway in November 2015.
At the time of the shooting, Brown was out on bond on charges of murder and kidnapping in the Malinowski case.
In August 2016, Brown was given a $200,000 bond, but he is still in custody at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Zack Malinowski, 19, was last seen on Aug. 25, 2013, playing basketball in Aynor with his friends and was reported missing.
His car was found burned in the woods off of Valley Forge Road near Aynor later.
His body has not been found.

INDICTED :
An Horry County grand jury indicted two Conway men on Murder and Kidnapping Charges in connection with the disappearance of Zachary Malinowski, according to court records.
Christopher Anfony Brown, 21, and Javon Dion Gibbs, 20, were each indicted on the charges in the August 2013 incident involving the 19-year-old man, according to indictments released Tuesday.
Brown and Gibbs remain jailed pending bond hearings after their arrests on Dec. 5, according to records at J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

In the arrest warrants filed against Brown and Gibbs, a witness “provided intimate details of the crime by one of the defendants” about how Malinowski was forced from a home on S.C. 905 in August 2013 and killed in the western part of Horry County. Police also said in the warrant that Malinowski’s body was discarded in that area.
His remains have not been found.
The 19-year-old was last seen on Aug. 25, 2013, and last heard from via telephone at 12:15 a.m. the next day, according to an Horry County police report. A week later police found Malinowski’s burned 1996 Chevrolet Beretta along Valley Forge Road, which is near where Malinowski had recently moved into his grandfather’s home.
Also in the warrants, police said the information from the witness was “corroborated with evidence found at the victim's residence and the victim's property and car which were located burned on Valley Forge Rd in the Aynor section of Horry County.”
According to a records check with the State Law Enforcement Division, Gibbs has been on probation since December 2012 on a strong armed robbery conviction after he was sentenced under the Youthful Offender Act to five years in prison, which was suspended to three years probation.
Conway police charged Gibbs with armed robbery in January 2013 in connection with a Sept. 22, 2012 crime, according to SLED records.
Brown has pending drug charges from March 31 and May 28, according to SLED records. Brown also was charged with carrying a weapon onto school property on July 31, 2013.
