  Brittanee Drexel
THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SHOULD INVESTIGATE !

                           RIGHT ... DA'SHAUN TAYLOR
Drexel disappeared from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina during spring break 2009.  Her body has not been found. The F.B.I. announced in June that agents suspect she had been murdered.
A South Carolina man imprisoned for manslaughter has claimed he was in a drug "stash house" where Drexel was fatally shot after being kidnapped. Her killers then threw her body in a gator pit.
The Informants say that Drexel was killed in McClellanville, South Carolina, a town about an hour south of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where Drexel disappeared in 2009. The last signal from Drexel’s phone came from McClellanville, SC ... OTHER'S ARE MISSING TOO ...
In June Police and Federal Authorities held a news conference in McClellanville, saying they believed Drexel was dead and making clear that they had some information, beyond the telephone signal, leading them to suspect she had been murdered.
The jailhouse informant, Taquan Brown, claims that Drexel was kidnapped, trafficked for sex, fatally shot, and then dumped in an alligator-infested swamp, according to the transcript of an Aug. 15 Federal Court Hearing in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Post and Courier Reported ...
Drexel’s body has not been found
Prosecutors could determine at some point that they have enough evidence, even without Drexel’s remains, to pursue criminal charges against suspects in her Disappearance and Homicide.
Just last month a federal jury in Rochester convicted a man, James Kendrick, of a role in the 1999 murder and dismemberment of Ryan Cooper. Prosecutors alleged that Cooper’s body parts were strewn across Rochester after the murder. His remains were never found.
“There’s no bar to a prosecutor pursuing a homicide case without a body,” said local attorney William Easton, who represented a man who admitted that he helped dismember Cooper. “It’s governed by ordinary principles  of circumstantial evidence.
“The problems are, especially in a modern era, the body itself in a homicide is the best evidence.”
The corpse can provide a bounty of forensic evidence corroborating or debunking a prosecution theory, Easton said.
It's publicly unknown whether the FBI has physical evidence beyond the telephone signal to corroborate the claims of Drexel’s Homicide. And the supposed firsthand claims of Taquan Brown, now serving 25 year in prison for manslaughter, would by themselves be weak.
FBI perhaps have DNA Evidence ... Waiting perhaps for other test and evidence ...
A South Carolina man, Timothy Da’Shaun Taylor, is the focus of the investigation into the possible “kidnapping, human trafficking and murder” of the Chili teen.
Taylor is Suspected of Kidnapping Drexel, FBI Special Agent Gerrick Munoz Testified at an Aug. 15 Bail Hearing for Taylor in Charleston. No one, including Taylor, has been charged with a crime in connection with Drexel's disappearance.

“We’ve had several people have come up and give us testimony, outlining Mr. Taylor’s involvement in this particular case, “ Munoz said at the hearing for Taylor, who is facing charges in an Armed Robbery in South Carolina. ( SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE TALKED )
Drexel's Father, Poor Man, Chad Drexel, claimed there is other evidence that the family cannot reveal ...
"We know Timothy Da'Shaun Taylor was Witnessed by others ( Witnesses NOT IN JAIL ) with my daughter — we are just praying that they do the RIGHT thing and (step) forward with what they know. Additionally he has been seen and followed to the EXACT area where my daughter's DNA was found," Chad Drexel wrote.

In 2011, Taylor, then 18, was the getaway driver in an Armed Robbery of a South Carolina McDonald's, during which the fast-food restaurant manager was Shot in the Leg.
Taylor cooperated with police and received a sentence of probation. However, this year a Federal Grand Jury in Charleston Indicted Taylor on a Federal Criminal Charge connected with the Armed Robbery.
Typically, federal prosecutors will not pursue criminal charges against an individual already convicted in state court, but did so in this instance. The Aug. 15 bail hearing was to determine whether Taylor should be free as he awaits trial for the robbery. Munoz testified that Taylor's suspected role in the Drexel disappearance proves he is dangerous and should not be released.
Brown told investigators that he was in a McClellanville "stash house" in the days after Drexel's disappearance and saw her there, being "sexually abused" by Taylor and others, according to the hearing testimony. Taylor's father, Shaun Taylor, was also at the house, Brown allegedly said.
Drexel escaped, ran from the home, but was caught, Brown allegedly claimed.
"She was then described as pistol-whipped and brought back into the house," Munoz testified about Brown's allegations.
Brown said he was outside but heard two shots. "And then Brittanee Drexel was then wrapped up and taken away from the house," Munoz said. Brown suspected that Shaun Taylor shot Drexel, Munoz testified.
At the hearing Munoz acknowledged that Brown's allegations have not been substantiated by other eyewitnesses. The second informant said he heard of Drexel's murder from an eyewitness to the crimes, Munoz said.
At the hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Winston Holliday said that the suspicion that Taylor was involved in Drexel's disappearance was partly the reason prosecutors pursued federal charges for the 2011 robbery.
"Of course, you have the McDonald's case, but then you also have that he's a target in this abduction and murder of Brittanee Drexel," he said.
Court records show that prosecutors and Taylor's defense lawyer filed court papers under seal on Aug. 22 — papers that U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Gordon Baker requested before deciding Taylor's bail status.
On Aug. 22, she ruled that Taylor could be released on $10,000 secured bond. He also is confined to his home on electronic monitoring, records show.
In other developments Monday, The Post and Courier of Charleston, which first reported on the court transcript Friday, said investigators are exploring possible connections between the Taylor family and two other unsolved crimes in South Carolina involving young women.

One case was an attempted abduction and the other a murder, according to The Post and Courier. Randall Keith Taylor, a brother of Shaun Taylor, was accused of raping and fatally shooting Shannon McConaughey, 19, in 1998, but murder charges were ultimately dropped against him because of a lack of evidence,

Brittanee Drexel who vanished from Myrtle Beach, S.C., in 2009 was repeatedly raped in a gang “stash house” for several days – then she was shot dead and fed to alligators when her disappearance generated too much media attention, the FBI said last week.
The Shocking New Details about the mysterious disappearance of 17-year-old Rochester, N.Y., native Brittanee Drexel came largely from a “jailhouse confession” that was subsequently substantiated by others with “tidbits” and “secondhand information,” FBI Agent Gerrick Munoz testified in a federal court transcript obtained by The Post and Courier.

                            Timothy Da'Shaun Taylor

The inmate who gave the alleged bombshell confession, Taquan Brown, is serving a 25-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter in a different case. Brown told authorities he was present during the final agonizing moments of Drexel’s life, Munoz said.
Brown claimed to have seen Drexel when he visited a “stash house” – typically a place used to keep guns, drugs or money – in the McClellanville area, the general location where Drexel’s cellphone last pinged.
Munoz said Brown told officials he saw Da’Shaun Taylor, then 16 years old, and Several Other Men “Sexually Abusing Brittanee Drexel.” Brown then said he walked to the backyard of the house to give money to Taylor’s father, Shaun Taylor. But as Brown and Shaun Taylor talked, Drexel tried to make a break for it. Her escape attempt was in vain, however, and one of the captors “pistol-whipped” Drexel and carried her back inside the house. Brown said he then heard two gunshots. The next time Brown said he saw Drexel, her body was being wrapped up and removed from the house.
Drexel’s body has never been found, but Munoz said “several witnesses” have told investigators she was dumped in an unspecified McClellanville pond teeming with alligators.
Drexel was last captured on video on April 25, 2009, leaving the Blue Water Hotel in Myrtle Beach, where she was staying against her parents' permission. A different inmate serving time at Georgetown County Jail told officials he was informed Da’Shaun Taylor picked Drexel up in Myrtle Beach and transported her to McClellanville.
Munoz said the FBI believes Taylor “showed her off, introduced her to some other friend that were there…they ended up tricking her out with some of their friends, offering her to them and getting a human trafficking situation.”
As the media spotlight grew ever brighter on the desperate efforts to find Drexel, the girl was “murdered and disposed of,” Munoz said.
Munoz’s testimony was part of a bond hearing for a federal charge against Da’Shaun Taylor, now 25, stemming from a 2011 robbery of a McDonald’s. Taylor had previously confessed to being the getaway driver for the holdup, cooperated with South Carolina authorities and completed probation. But prosecutors are now trying to bring federal charges and, if convicted of the new charges, Taylor could face a life sentence.
Taylor’s attorney contended the federal charges are a naked attempt to “squeeze” Taylor for information on the Drexel case. Asked by Magistrate Judge Mary Gordon Baker about “the real reason” for the charges and if they had to do with Drexel’s disappearance, Assistant U.S. Attorney Winston Holliday said “that would be one” reason.

Daughter Disappears On A Cold January Day

It was a cold January 2005  day in Andrews, S.C., when Crystal Soles called her father for a ride  home. He was in failing health and was unable to pick her up. Crystal  assured her father it was not a problem and told him she would walk  home. "That's OK Dad; I will walk" are the last words her loved ones  have heard from her in more than five years.

No one knows what happened to Crystal. There have been multiple  searches, but no trace of her has ever been found. The CUE Center for  Missing Persons has also helped in the search. Earlier this year,  Crystal's case became the 10 of diamonds in a deck of cards produced by  Effective Playing Cards and distributed in prisons and jails. The  playing cards have led to the arrest and conviction of previously  unsolved murder cases.

As a family member says, "people in this community knew her and what  happened; it breaks my heart as they just go about their lives. All we  ask is to get Crystal back and for final answers."

*Why remove 3 Detectives off a Case when they are so

close to making Arrest??  2010.  Politics....

Brittanee Drexel Case

They say things were going great. Chris Bailey describes the momentum and chemistry they had from the very beginning.

"You took strangers," said Bailey, "I had never met Rocky before, never met Vincent before, and never met Steve or anybody else from Merrill's before the case, and in a short time, they were able to build a bond and trust."

With the help of Merrill's Investigations, Chris and Rocky say all the agencies were working side-by-side, gaining ground.

Detectives Chris Bailey, Rocky Burke and Vincent Dorio. Had the 4 kidnappers names.

They lived and breathed this case, working and developing new leads and getting very close to making some arrests.

Close to making Arrest. However - the Feds stopped them??  2010.

In the summer of 2010, however, they say that all changed.

In June, Bailey was taken off the case completely for the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office. Just a few months later, the same thing happened to Burke at the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

"Some new task forces were formed and my role was diminished," said Burke.

*People would be shocked to know what really happened in this Case.

*For 10 years, these pictures taken off a CCTV Camera, were considered vital evidence in the case. However, after 10 years had passed, they were forgotten about??  Drexel case heats up as persons of interest identified
Published Friday, April 09, 2010 - 7:25 PM

Investigators from three counties who have been working to find a missing New York teenager say they now have persons of interest in the case.

Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Neil Johnson said based on information that has been collected investigators feel Brittanee Drexel who was 17 years old when she disappeared from Myrtle Beach last year is no longer alive.

Johnson said investigators have “three and possibly four” persons of interest in the case. He said no other details about the persons of interest is being released at this time.

Johnson said there is no reason to believe the persons of interest knew Drexel directly.

He said lie detector tests have been administered to two of them.

Investigators from Horry and Charleston Counties are also involved in the case because Drexel’s last known whereabouts was at a Myrtle Beach hotel.

Signals from her cell phone were detected in the North Santee area along the Georgetown County - Charleston County border on April 26 of last year, one night after she went missing from Myrtle Beach. Several searches have been conducted in the North Santee area as well as in northern Charleston County for any evidence that may lead to Drexel.

Johnson said the case got hot in December when Georgetown County Investigator Chris Bailey received information about Drexel’s disappearance.

It was in December that searchers found a pair of sunglasses near the river in North Santee.

“Everything we know is leading to this area,” Johnson said. “At this point, based on everything we know, we feel she is not alive.”

Johnson said the evidence continues to point to southern Georgetown County as the place something may have happened to Drexel. He said that is based on the amount of text messages she sent in the days before her disappearance.

“She was constantly on the phone texting. Then it all stopped when she went missing,”he said. “It was like someone took the phone.”
He said a private investigation service from Maine has been hired to help in the case because they have a lot of resources such as cadaver dogs to assist local authorities.

When asked if having persons of interest will lead to charges in the case, Johnson said that is not currently known.

“We could make an arrest next week or next year, we just do not know” he said.

An abandoned home that belonged to the family of a suspect in Brittanee Drexel’s disappearance burned down on Saturday evening.
FBI officials did not immediately respond to see if the property is one of the “stash houses” that was searched for clues to her disappearance.
The blaze was reported around 10 p.m. Saturday at 1819 Old Collins Creek Road in McClellanville, South Carolina, said Chief Mike Bowers with the Awendaw-McClellanville Consolidated Fire District.
The road is south of where federal and local investigators searched for clues in Drexel’s case in 2016.

Brittanee Drexel. Plus via Tip Line: 1-800-FBI-TIPS.

    Besides Taquan Brown.

5. Attempted Abduction of Randa Massey.  07/28/10

Myrtle Beach Police arrested a McClellanville man wanted in connection to a kidnapping attempt a week ago in Myrtle Beach -- a case that has eery similarities to that of missing spring breaker Brittanee Drexel. Shaun Taylor, 37, turned himself in Wednesday morning to face charges of attempted kidnapping and first degree assault. An arrest warrant was obtained Monday, and despite two days of searching, detectives were unable to locate Taylor.

White Male Beaten By Black Mob into a Coma. 16 Blacks on 1 White Person. No News Coverage ??

‘They beat him to death. He just didn’t die’

https://www.postandcourier.com/news/they-beat-him-to-death-he-just-didn-t-die/article_c9d08a57-2003-5cce-8325-6fed7b979bfc.html

Troy Knapp’s killing was 10 years in the making, a gradual death by inches and degrees.
His brutal beating at the hands of an angry mob sparked outrage and spurred marches a decade ago. But long after the headlines faded, Knapp soldiered on in a battered and broken body that no longer responded to his commands.
Bedridden, in chronic pain and saddled with seizures, Knapp hung on until Nov. 6, when his body finally gave out for good. At age 43, he became North Charleston’s 11th homicide of 2009, the victim of a slow-motion killing too old to carry the possibility of a murder charge.
Knapp died as a result of severe injuries he suffered in his October 1999 beating,
Charleston County Coroner Rae Wooten said. But there is nothing more police can do. South Carolina law won’t allow a murder prosecution in a case where the victim lives more than three years after his injuries were inflicted.
Six men were convicted of lynching in the attack on Knapp. Just two remain in prison, though they are expected to be released within the year.
That doesn’t sit right with Knapp’s family.
“I think it sucks,” said Angela Knapp, his sister and caretaker. “Their lives are just getting started as his is ending. I think they should at least have to pay to bury him.”
Knapp, a former auto mechanic, was 34 when he and friend Gary Thornburg were attacked while riding their bicycles near Bexley Street and South Rhett Avenue. Thornburg escaped serious injury, but Knapp was beaten so badly he was in a coma for weeks.
“When I first saw him in the hospital, I said ‘They beat him to death. He just didn’t die,’ ” his aunt, Annie Minnick, said.
When Knapp finally awoke, he was mostly paralyzed, unable to walk or take his young son on the fishing trips they used to share. Doctors had to remove a portion of his brain and a section of skull, leaving him with a large depression in his head. He couldn’t remember much about the attack itself.
Police initially charged 16 suspects between the ages of 14 and 22. The case stoked racial tensions, as the suspects are black and the two victims white. But police have said robbery, not race, appeared to be the motive for the assault.
After the case ended with guilty pleas from a half-dozen defendants in the spring of 2001, Knapp carried on as best he could. Unable to feed, clean or care for himself, he continued to live in a small, weathered home on Lambert Street, where his family tended to his many needs. Somehow, he kept his sense of humor. He once joked that he was going to look up actor Lee Majors to learn where he could be fitted for a bionic brain and legs. He refused to be bitter, his sister said.
After hanging on for so long, death came suddenly. Knapp had a seizure on the night of Nov. 5. The next morning, his stepfather found him unresponsive and yelled for his sister to call EMS. It was too late. He was already gone.
Knapp’s family went into debt to pay for his funeral, his sister said. He never got a dime of the restitution money his attackers had been ordered to pay, and no life insurance company would touch him. If his aunt hadn’t offered a burial plot next to his grandparents, Knapp’s family might not have had a place to lay him to rest, Angela Knapp said.
“For 10 years I took care of him. Now, I don’t know what I’m going to do,” she said, gazing around the home. “He was a very good person, a real joy to be around. He’s going to be greatly missed.”

19 Veterans have taken their own Lives on VA Grounds. But Dems want more Illegals ?? WTH .. Help Our Vets First .. !!!!

Alissa Harrington took an audible breath as she slid open a closet door deep in her home office. This is where she displays what’s too painful, too raw to keep out in the open.
Framed photos of her younger brother, Justin Miller, a 33-year-old Marine Corps trumpet player and Iraq veteran. Blood-spattered safety glasses recovered from the snow-covered Nissan Frontier truck where his body was found. A phone filled with the last text messages from his father: “We love you. We miss you. Come home.”
Miller was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and suicidal thoughts when he checked into the Minneapolis Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in February 2018. After spending four days in the mental-health unit, Miller walked to his truck in VA’s parking lot and shot himself in the very place he went to find help.
“The fact that my brother, Justin, never left the VA parking lot — it’s infuriating,” said Harrington, 37. “He did the right thing; he went in for help. I just can’t get my head around it.”
A federal investigation into Miller’s death found that the Minneapolis VA made multiple errors: not scheduling a follow-up appointment, failing to communicate with his family about the treatment plan and inadequately assessing his access to firearms. Several days after his death, Miller’s parents received a package from the Department of Veterans Affairs — bottles of antidepressants and sleep aids prescribed to Miller.
His death is among 19 suicides that occurred on VA campuses from October 2017 to November 2018, seven of them in parking lots, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs. While studies show that every suicide is highly complex — influenced by genetics, financial uncertainty, relationship loss and other factors — mental-health experts worry that veterans taking their lives on VA property has become a desperate form of protest against a system that some veterans feel hasn’t helped them.
The most recent parking lot suicide occurred weeks before Christmas in St. Petersburg, Fla. Marine Col. Jim Turner, 55, dressed in his uniform blues and medals, sat on top of his military and VA records and killed himself with a rifle outside the Bay Pines Department of Veterans Affairs.
“I bet if you look at the 22 suicides a day you will see VA screwed up in 90%,” Turner wrote in a note investigators found near his body.
VA declined to comment on individual cases, citing privacy concerns. But relatives say Turner had told them that he was infuriated that he wasn’t able to get a mental-health appointment that he wanted.
Veterans are 1.5 times as likely as civilians to die by suicide, after adjusting for age and gender. In 2016, the veteran suicide rate was 26.1 per 100,000, compared with 17.4 per 100,000 for non-veteran adults, according to a recent federal report. Before 2017, VA did not separately track on-campus suicides, said spokesman Curt Cashour.
The Trump administration has said that preventing suicide is its top clinical priority for veterans. In January 2018, President Trump signed an executive order to allow all veterans — including those otherwise ineligible for VA care — to receive mental-health services during the first year after military service, a period marked by a high risk for suicide, VA officials say. And VA points out that it stopped 233 suicide attempts between October 2017 and November 2018, when staff intervened to help veterans harming themselves on hospital grounds.
Sixty-two percent of veterans, or 9 million people, depend on VA’s vast hospital system, but accessing it can require navigating a frustrating bureaucracy. Veterans sometimes must prove that their injuries are connected to their service, which can require a lot of paperwork and appeals.
Veterans who take their own lives on VA grounds often intend to send a message, said Eric Caine, director of the Injury Control Research Center for Suicide Prevention at the University of Rochester.
“These suicides are sentinel events,” Caine said. “It’s very important for the VA to recognize that the place of a suicide can have great meaning. There is a real moral imperative and invitation here to take a close inspection of the quality of services at the facility level.”
Keita Franklin, who became VA’s executive director for suicide prevention in April, said the agency now trains parking lot attendants and patrols on suicide intervention. The agency also has launched a pilot program that expands its suicide prevention efforts, including peer mentoring, to civilian workplaces and state governments.
“We’re shifting from a model that says, ‘Let’s sit in our hospitals and wait for people to come to us,’ and take it to them,” she said during a congressional staff briefing in January.
For some veterans, the problem is not only interventions but also the care and conditions inside some VA mental-health programs.
John Toombs, a 32-year-old former Army sergeant and Afghanistan veteran, hanged himself on the grounds of the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the morning before Thanksgiving 2016.
He had enrolled in an inpatient treatment program for PTSD,
substance abuse, depression and anxiety, said his father, David Toombs.
“John went in pledging that this is where I change my life; this is where I get better,” he said. But he was kicked out of the program for not following instructions, including being late to collect his medications, according to medical records.
A few hours before he took his life, Toombs wrote in a Facebook post from the Murfreesboro VA that he was “feeling empty,” with a distressed emoji.
“I dared to dream again. Then you showed me the door faster than last night’s garbage,” he wrote. “To the streets, homeless, right before the holidays.”

‘They didn’t serve him well’

Miller was recruited as a high school trumpet player into the prestigious 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band based in Cherry Point, N.C. In Iraq, he was posted at the final checkpoint before U.S. troops entered the safe zone at al-Asad Air Base.
Hour after hour, day after day, his gun was aimed at each driver’s head. He carefully watched the bomb-sniffing dogs for signs that they had found something nefarious.
After he came home, Miller’s family noticed right away that he was different: incredibly tense, easily agitated and overreacting to criticism. He eventually told his sister that he suffered from severe PTSD after being ordered to shoot dead a man who was approaching the base and was believed to have a bomb.
Miller called the Veterans Crisis Line last February to report suicidal thoughts, according to the VA inspector general’s investigation. The responder told him to arrange for someone to keep his guns and to go to the VA emergency department. Miller stayed at the hospital for four days.
In the discharge note, a nurse wrote that Miller asked to be released and that the “patient does not currently meet dangerousness criteria for a 72-hour hold.” He was designated as “intermediate/moderate risk” for suicide.
Although Miller had told the crisis hotline responder that he had access to firearms, several clinicians recorded that he did not have guns or that it was unknown whether he had guns. There was no documentation of clinicians discussing with Miller or his family how to secure weapons, according to the inspector general’s report, a fact that baffles his father.
“My son served his country well,” said Greg Miller, his voice breaking. “But they didn’t serve him well. He had a gun in his truck the whole time.”
Franklin, head of VA’s suicide prevention program, called the suicide rate “beyond frustrating and heartbreaking,” adding that it’s essential that “local facilities develop a good relationship with the veteran, ask to bring their families into the fold — during the process and discharge — and make sure we know if they have access to firearms.”
