Law abiding citizen kills gunman shooting into a crowd of people. Charleston, WV.

Charleston, WV. 

Police said a woman who was lawfully carrying a pistol shot and killed a man who began shooting at a crowd of people Wednesday night in Charleston.

Dennis Butler was killed after allegedly shooting at dozens of people attending a graduation party Wednesday near the Vista View Apartment complex. No injuries were reported from those at the party. 

“Instead of running from the threat, she engaged with the threat and saved several lives last night,” Charleston Police Department Chief of Detectives Tony Hazelett said.

Officers did not go into detail, but said Butler did have an extensive criminal history.

Hazelett said no charges will be filed against the woman.

Charleston, SC Mass Shooting

Charleston, SC

A home security camera captured footage during a mass shooting in downtown Charleston Monday night.

According to Police Chief Luther Reynolds, 10 people were injured and four people are still in critical condition. Three law enforcement officers are included in that number. 

In home security footage from a home on South Street, you can hear multiple rounds of gunfire and people screaming, starting around the one minute mark.

Worked at a school that used to have three police officer's and everybody felt safe, however the defund the police movement got them taken out of our school because we were told there wasn’t enough money and that the police presence could be considered racist.



It's insane that a high school kid can't a buy a beer because he/she/they/we/ aren't responsible enough, but can buy a military grade assault rifle that law enforcement can't contend with.
