Laurens County Deputy Fired After Arrest In Greenville County

A Laurens County Sheriff’s Office deputy was fired after his arrest in Greenville County Friday night for grabbing an undercover deputy in an inappropriate manner.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Thomason, 37, of Gray Court while working complaints of unlawful sexual activity in the 6300 block of White Horse Road.
Thomason approached the undercover deputy according to GCSO Lt. Michael Hildebrand and talked to him in the officer’s car. That’s when Thomason grabbed the officer according to Hildebrand and the GCSO deputy identified himself.
Thomason was charged with assault and battery second degree and loitering to engage in sexual activity. He was released from jail on bond.
Thomason was fired Saturday morning from his position at the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office according to Public Information Officer Judy Stiles.
Thomason had been with the department since 1999 and was captain of LCSO Administrative. That department takes care of civil matters.

 
                             
 Update : From what we can tell all charges against Thomason have

been dropped for unknown reasons. Case has been Expunged. However,

he still grabbed a UC Officers privates parts and was arrested. Sheriff

Chastian would Not talk to Gordon Dill of, News Channel 7, about why this

fired Deputy is now Patrolling the streets of Laurens Co. again.
